Grannie Pelosi's Edict on the War

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that President Bush lacks the authority to invade Iran without specific approval from Congress, a fresh challenge to the commander in chief on the eve of a symbolic vote critical of his troop buildup in Iraq. Pelosi, D-Calif., noted that Bush consistently said he supports a diplomatic resolution to differences with Iran "and I take him at his word."
At the same time, she said, "I do believe that Congress should assert itself, though, and make it very clear that there is no previous authority for the president, any president, to go into Iran." Pelosi spoke in an interview in the Capitol as lawmakers plowed through a third day of marathon debate in the House on a nonbinding measure opposing the Bush's plan to increase troop strength in Iraq _ and as Democrats readied a more provocative challenge to the president.
Bush has said he intends to go ahead with the troop buildup regardless of nonbinding expressions of disapproval in Congress. Pelosi said, "I don't think that the president can completely ignore it."
"The president can and will completely ignore it." Grannie Pelosi, who just doesn't get it.
My God we have over 3200 military dead and this mental midget does not understand that the manufacture of the weapons used to kill our people come from Iran. She would rather we ignore Iran, stop the war and bring the troops home.
You know it is hard to have faith in your congress when you are in the middle of a war for our lives. We have a person like Pelosi giving opinions, estimates, and innuendos about situations that she is clueless about.
To all the Pelosi, Kennedy and Murthas in congress, it will always be a mystery why you people were ever re-elected in 2006. Maybe it was the voting machines that were made in Venezuela by Chavez and Company. Maybe the truth is that Americans are not as smart as I like to think they are.
Of this you can be sure of. I voted for him, I dislike Bush because of his disconnect with the American people. Bush stinks on the border, immigration, spending, and cheap with pardons, but he gets credit on the War on Islamic Fascism.
To Congress I say this...ignore Iran, stop the war and bring the troops home and on your watch we will see the likes of Bagdad in your own neighborhood, new and improved.
