Retiring Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., will resign from the U.S. Senate, according to media reports.
Martinez has not yet made an official announcement. The first-term senator had already announced that he would retire from the Senate last December. A resignation means that GOP Gov. Charlie Crist has the authority to appoint someone to fill the vacancy until the next general election.
Anyone but Mel. Thats how we get change. Bill Nelson is next. Nelson is an obstacle on drilling. Bill Nelson who is not detered on drilling for oil off of the coast of Florida , even while gasoline is up to 2.75 a gallon. All the while Russia, the Chinese, etc. are drilling off of the same coast.
